- Any payments from the Bond are paid free of any personal liability to capital gains tax.
- Some additional tax may be payable if you pay income tax at the higher rate or the payments from your Bond take you into the higher rate tax band.
- Entitlements to Age Allowance may be affected by any taxable gains arising from regular, surrender or maturity payments.
- Tax cannot be reclaimed by lower rate or non-taxpayers.
- If you die before the end of the chosen investment term some tax may be payable.
Please consult your Independent Financial Adviser for any further information. Tax assumptions are those currently applicable and are subject to change at any time and are based upon Pinnacle's understanding of current UK tax levels, bases and relief. The value of tax relief will depend on individual circumstances.
Why can't I claim the tax back as a non-taxpayer?
The income is paid from an insurance fund and basic rate income tax and capital gains tax is deemed to have been paid and cannot be reclaimed from the fund.
